About me

Published by danyellewon at 5:21 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Uh, how do you start this kind of thing?

I have 3 younger sisters and a Mom and Dad that have been together for 36 years.

God called me when I was 9 years old to ask for His forgiveness and accept the free gift of salvation to eternal life through His son Jesus Christ.   But I never really had a relationship with Him until I came home from college to live with my parents between college and getting married.  That year, for Christmas, my Dad got me a Life Application Study Bible, and I learned who Jesus really is by reading it.

I’m twice the age I feel and about a third of the age I’d like to attain.  My husband Chris  and I have been married for 12.5 years.  We met at Georgia Tech, of which we are both alumni for the past 13 years.   Architecture was my course of study.

I worked for an architectural drafting firm in Chamblee, Georgia for three years.  Then we got pregnant with our first son, E.  Three years later came our second son, A.  Two years later we looked up and realized we were pregnant again, and thus far our little family had these first initials: A, C, D, and E.  What could we do but name our third son B?  We currently have no plans to add an F.

My husband works for the U.S. Government and I stay home, trying to keep the house clean, the inhabitants fed, and our children educated.   I currently homeschool our eldest son, and next year plan to homeschool our middle child too.  The littlest is not ready to think about school yet- he’s too busy learning.  And growing.  And playing.  And injuring himself and others.

I’ve always lived here in middle Georgia, except for a few years during and after college when I lived in the greater Atlanta area.  I’ve visited about a dozen states including Alaska but never been abroad.

We maintain a restricted carbohydrate diet after reading Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes.

I have curly hair and freckles.  I am myopic.  I like to do pencil drawings of architecture.  Reading is my passion.  Brace yourself: we do not listen to rock’n'roll, its forebears or its derivatives in this house.  But shoes are very nice.  Otters are cool.

Surely that’s more than enough About me.
